Service performance

Service performance

We operate on the basis of continuous optimisation and high integrity. The performance of our ships and our processes are some of the best in the industry, with RightShip safety scores of 5/5 for the majority of our DOCs, and fleet availability of 99.82% proving operational effectiveness. Injury and damage frequency rates of 0.41 and 1.5 respectively are also low and showing a consistent downward trend.

Scale and global reach

Scale and global reach

As one of the largest independent ship managers globally, we are able to leverage economies of scale across a number of areas including procurement, training, dry-dockings and repairs, with cost savings being shared directly with our clients to ensure transparency in our partnerships.

Long-term vision

Long-term vision

We are actively innovating our technology and aligning decarbonisation strategies with the latest ESG standards while heavily investing in training our people so they can be your trusted advisors through change. Ammonia and hydrogen fuel designs, nuclear energy and maritime broadband services are just some of our recent projects underway.

PERFORMANCE

Our Fleet Performance Centre (FPC)

Officially launched in July 2021, our dedicated FPC team is focused on identifying trends and translating data into actionable insights. Through training, campaigns and direct engagement with the ship board management team, the team provides support to improve voyage and machinery performance.

Evaluation of energy saving devices and anti-fouling paints

Background and action taken:
Based on the data available for the whole fleet, FPC has provided Ship Owners with recommendations on the most optimal paint coating which can be applied in relation to the vessel speed, drafts and operational profile. This has assisted Owners in making more informed decisions when planning to invest in high value paints or energy saving devices.

Results:
A performance improvement of about 35% from pre-docking phase was seen in one specific case which also elevated the vessel’s CII and Rightship GHG Emission ratings.

Optimisation of Auxillary Engine Usage

Background and action taken:
FPC observed a vessel running additional auxillary engines at sea which was causing unnecessarily high temperatures. Based on this information, the auxillary engines were optimised to reduce the load and therefore eliminate the need for the running of one auxillary engine.

Results:
A fuel cost saving of about 85 MT (about 6% reduction) was obtained over 5 months by optimising the use of the auxillary engine.

Voyage Optimisation with FOS

Background and action taken:
All vessels fitted with Fleet Optimisation Solution (FOS) are monitored by FPC for voyage optimisation. The Masters are provided with proactive suggestions to improve voyage efficiency by leveraging available data and experience within the Company.

Results:
Voyage optimisation has helped to save about 350 MT of fuel on a fleet of 39 bulk carriers and 2,330 MT across the whole fleet this year (as of Aug 2023).

Our client portal

Client Portal

my.angloeastern is a proprietary, one-stop platform that gives clients direct access to their fleet data, translating into fewer emails, more automation, and more transparency. This is accomplished alongside our chosen partners below:

Through Wärtsilä Fleet Optimisation Solutions (FOS) we have integrated systems and communications between ships, shore offices and ports, monitoring, managing and optimising everyday processes onboard and onshore with cloud-based analytics and AI facilitating intelligent automation.

JiBe is a maritime cloud-based ERP system, covering all aspects of ship management. Data from the full fleet can be leveraged in JiBe for the optimization of each individual vessel. Its machine learning capabilities streamline user interactions, reduce operational risks and optimise costs.
