VESSEL TYPE OVERVIEW
Dual-Fuel
Anglo-Eastern has built up significant experience in dual-fuel vessels, with knowledge and deployment of alternative fuel management designs and services becoming an embedded part of our long-term strategy and 80+ ocean-going dual-fuel vessels and newbuilding projects already underway.

Specialist LNG team
Our team has significant LNGC and FSRU ship management experience. The team focus is two-fold: LNG projects (e.g., yard supervision, dry-dockings) and technical management support for LNG dual-fuel systems. Where possible, the same specialist supervises a vessel from newbuilding into management to ensure a seamless transition.
Specialised training
To ensure our crew are properly trained in LNG dual-fuel engines and systems prior to joining on board, we focus on simulator training at our fully owned training centres, where specialised/bespoke courses and our partnership with MAN form part of familiarisation efforts. This on top of our regular training, which we instil on the gross root level to support our seafarers in their pursuit of further qualifications.
Future fuel designs
Alongside Anglo-Eastern’s aspirational goal of shaping a better maritime future, our Technical Services team (AETS) have been working on future fuel designs that help facilitate decarbonization strategies for both ourselves and our clients. With approvals in principle for a number of ammonia fueled designs, we are involved in over 80 dual-fuel projects intending to burn LPG, LNG, ammonia, hydrogen, or methanol.
Nuclear energy
We are also working with Core-Power, a development company specialising in advanced nuclear energy technology, such as marine molten salt reactors (m-MSRs), as we believe that nuclear energy is the key to a truly zero-emission concept longer-term.
Technology and scale
We capitalise on the size of our fleet to improve overall performance via knowledge sharing and the harnessing of technology partnerships that increase efficiencies and provide our clients with the data they want in near real-time. We are also able to strengthen supplier relationships and foster more transparent negotiations across all categories of the supply chain.

Case Study
Shaping a Legacy
As the chosen project manager, Anglo-Eastern, delivered the first mid-size dual-fuel LPG carrier from South Korea to owners, Mexican LPG, comprehensively assessing and querying the prototype nature of Hyundai Mipo Dockyard’s new ‘LPG-SAFE’ design for a 38,000-cbm double-hull LPG carrier. Months of collaboration resulted in NOxT Tier III and EEDI Phase 3 requirement compliance and on-time vessel delivery despite prevailing Covid-19 restrictions.

SUSTAINABLE OPERATIONS
Our commitment to ESG
Safety & Wellbeing
Our Go Home Safe app and Be Safe+ programme help cultivate a proactive safety culture onboard our managed vessels, translating into a 5/5 RightShip DOC safety score for the majority of our ship management units and TMSA score of 3.47.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We provide an inclusive environment for our people regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, age, sexual orientation, or beliefs. With a total of 189 female crew members, we are the largest employer of female seafarers in India.
Decarbonisation
A founding member of the ‘Getting to Zero Coalition’ and the first leading ship manager to be certified carbon-neutral since 2019, we lead through technology, design and key partnerships.
Training & Development
Training opportunities are entrenched in our day-to-day. We invest in training centres and our Maritime Academy, with skilling and upskilling our crew being a top priority, and our commitment being reflected in a high retention rate of over 95% across our seafarer pool worldwide.
Governance & Compliance
Our Code of Conduct outlines our values and approach to key issues such as human rights, health and safety, equal opportunities, training and development, business governance, and supply chain management, informing how we do business with integrity and in compliance with relevant bodies, laws and agreements.
