Operational support

Within the marine operations team, we have dedicated operators who support operational activities on board the chemical tanker fleet. All chemical tanker operators are ex-Master Mariners, with substantial sailing experience on SuS chemical tankers, including hands-on experience in the carriage and care of a wide range of chemical cargoes. Emphasis is placed on cargo stowage plans, preparation and execution of tank cleaning plans, matters related to loading, carriage precautions, and discharging etc. The team also oversee SIRE, CDI, and other third-party inspections to ensure tradability of vessel is maintained, and ships remain acceptable to relevant oil majors and charterers at all times.

Tank cleaning support

Ships within the chemical tanker fleet have direct online access to tank cleaning software/solutions such as Milbros which assists the crew in preparing detailed tank cleaning plans in accordance with latest industry practice. The progress of tank cleaning is closely monitored, and a spectrophotometer is used to optimize cleaning further.
