Bulk Carriers
Bulk carriers account for over 40% of all vessels under Anglo-Eastern technical management and are primarily managed out of Singapore and Hong Kong offices. We have also been involved in the construction of 263 bulk carriers since 1989.

Types and numbers of bulk carriers
The number of bulk carriers managed by us stands at 281, with deadweight ranging from 28,222 – 402,425, and a combined total deadweight of 29,615,102. We cover all types of bulk carriers including Supramax/Ultramax/Panamax, Capsize/Newcastlemax/VLOC, Laker/Handy/Polar Class 4, Kamsarmax/Post Panamax/MiniCapsize, and Open Hatch.
Certified documents of compliance
We have 16 DOCs for bulk carriers in place from the following flag states which reiterate our commitment to standards in safety and pollution prevention: Hong Kong, the Isle of Man, Panama, Liberia, Malta, Marshall Islands, Belgium, India, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Canada, Singapore, Bahamas, Bermuda, The Portuguese Republic, Curacao and the Kingdom of Denmark.
Current dry cargo majors
Anglo-Eastern has significant operational experience of working with most of the dry cargo majors and are very well acquainted with their vetting and terminal requirements. Some key clients include: RioTinto, FMG Fortescue, Vale, BHP, Cargill and Bunge.
Committed talent pool
Our officers and crew on bulk carriers have served under Anglo-Eastern for long time periods, with an average of 8-13 years across different roles and a 94.9% retention rate preserving sound knowledge of bulk carrier operations including preparations and presentations for loading, conditioning, care of cargo whilst in transit, and delivery to end receivers.
Dual-fuel expertise and future fuels
We have built-up noteworthy experience in design, construction supervision and management of dual-fuel vessels. We are actively engaged with over 80 ocean-going dual-fuel vessels and newbuilding projects at various stages of construction which are intended to burn LNG, LPG, hydrogen and ammonia as fuel.
Newbuilding supervision and project management
Anglo-Eastern Technical Services (AETS) provides a comprehensive range of vessel design consultancy, naval architecture, project management and newbuilding supervision services. Having supervised over 500 newbuildings and conversions to date, we have substantial experience across all types of specialized and complex vessel types, and are able to incorporate our dual-fuel expertise where appropriate.

We capitalise on the size of our fleet to improve overall performance via knowledge sharing and the harnessing of technology partnerships that increase efficiencies and provide our clients with the data they want in near real-time. We are also able to strengthen supplier relationships and foster more transparent negotiations across all categories of the supply chain.
